Nick Vendikos ‘91SVC[/quote] those 2 $6000 auction start items are very cool with the add ons other than the 20 suite tix. Have they done that before ? ( not just the 20 suite game tix but add ons like that )

Also the sparring session with the #5 boxer sounds great. I'd bid to see a couple posters go at each other in the ring :)

Hello Mike,

Yes, it has been done before.

Two years ago, a box at MSG vs Duke went for $50K.

2 guys got in bidding war and they gave each their own box

A total of $100K was raised on that one item

The sparring session is something they have never done.

In addition, the auction for naming rights to a sign outside Carnesecca Arena is also a first time item.

Always been surprised that they almost never have auctions on the site. Think of all the leftover UA and Nike gear that fans are dying to have but could never get in the bookstore. Think about game-used jerseys (or maybe that is against rules...but still they can't they sell them once they go pro?). Also, still no sign of using the classic SJ font from the jerseys on any gear for fans. Maybe this is all being worked on, but it's really odd when fans are begging you to take their money and you essentially say, "no thanks".

Timelines buddy Timelines!

Yes Barstool or the 7 line can fire off a tee shirt the next day with a new graphic of something that happened the night before. That isn't the case when you sign a contract to work with the adidas, UA and Nike's of the world. It will come in time. Cragg has mentioned it. But these big companies work at a snails pace. And we're a basketball school this isn't Texas, Michigan, Ohio State. There is a pecking order.

Agreed it def takes time, however were we not told similar things when we had UA and asked for the gear with the new/traditional logo? Also, we used to have something like 6 or 7 cool choices for hats at LIDS. The brands were New Era and Zephyr which were in line with other major programs. In the past few years, the choices have dwindled and we no longer have any New Era or Zephyr hats on the site. There's 1 choice to buy a "Top of The World" branded hat and that's it. I know many will say, "well clearly they weren't selling so what do you expect?" but PC has way more choices and they are a much smaller brand than us. They can't possibly be raking in money from gear when they have like 3,000 students. We have over 20,000 and a much bigger footprint. The lack of this stuff makes it feel like we are more like Siena unfortunately.

Bottom line NYC or not. 20k students or not. You are severely overstating the power of SJU. Maybe it will change but right now its not even close.
