Yeah I mean he seems tight with Nuri and Kyle and Chiles. We got in the picture late but you never know. He's really a 3 in my mind right now so we're a little stacked there but a lot can happen between now and then. Nova, Maryland and Pitt are hot and heavy after him too.

 I still wonder if the Amile play was due to Gathers at that time still being uncommitted and feeling out by the staff. I think the staff spoke with Amile's father and probably got a better idea whether to continue to pursue or not. Personally, don't think we really need him with Gathers on board. Crazy as it sounds, I'd almost rather grab some center that we can develop like Mbargorba or some other kid. We can always use more height up front, and I'm of the opinion we don't have quite enough. Adding a big center wouldn't cramp anybody's style that is currently on the roster, with God's Gift already a junior this year.  I'm warming up to Obekpa too because I love shotblockers, but wish he was a 6'11 C instead of 6'8 PF.
 
 Rothstein tweeting that SJU has come on Real strong with Amile Jefferson this week per sources. Looks like we're a real factor for him now.
 
 Does anyone know where we stand with him. What I have been reading feel he is not interested in us of for that matter don't know if staff is persuing him hard

You never know, but I only know the Terps, Ohio St., and of course Nova are heavily involved. I would go after Beejay more than Amile.

 Syracuse aggressively pursuing Amile. Interest in SJU seems to have waned, but who knows.

Him signing late would be the best news we can get.
 
SJU has not reached out in awhile. I don't think the staff felt they had a realistic shot as of 6 weeks ago or so.

I would say Ohio St, Maryland, Villanova and NC St maybe out front right now.
