All Time Wins

Really interesting tweet.  I've watched it quite a few times and each time I catch something different.  This last time was how successful Oregon State was for so long.  Never knew they were so high up there

Very cool. Enjoyed watching us move up to number 3. Of course didn't enjoy seeing us drop to #7. Had no idea that Temple was that high(#6). No doubt in large part due to the great John Chaney.

That tweet and the way they presented the numbers was very interesting.

Imagine how much higher we would be if we could have maintained Looie's level of sustained excellence.

And don't forget the 40+ wins that were reversed thanks to Keita violations

Actually, Temple basketball began it's  fame long before Chaney.  Harry "the hat" Litwack in the 50s to 70s and Don Casey a decade before Chaney, established the Owl's as a premier program before Chaney took charge.

Back in the 60s and 70s we would play Temple, St. Joe's and 'Nova every year, and they were always barn burners.  I remember going down to the Palestra for triple headers and the place was packed and rocking for seven+ hours.  Sometimes we'd play St. Joe's at their place and the nickname was the B.O. Barn because it seated about 3K and was always stifling hot.  maher should check it out, he'd stop whining about CA./media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png

Back in 1972 St John’s had 150 more wins than Syracuse Now Syracuse has 140 more wins than the Johnnies  Testament to Jim Boeheim Syracuse is lucky to have a guy that long

More a testament to the coaches we had after Louie retired, especially Norm where most of our losses during his tenure put us behind the 8 ball.

Believe it or not, I think Temple would be a great Big East addition, if they were serious about expanding their bballl program.  Their great history is evident and suits our league. PS, I don’t care what Nova tbinks. Would be a good rivalry for them too in our league.
