Aliyyah who had 27 points and five boards and the winning basket with 2.8 seconds left over number 24 Texas A M on Saturday past was named the Big East Women's player of the week.
Congrats Aliyyah on your great play this season. She is clearly the straw that stirs our drink.
Hope there are many more to come for you Aliyyah.
 
And for the second time this season our beloved sophomore star Aliyyah Handford was named the Big East Player of the Week following her 25 point outburst in the only game we played last week , the 13 point win on Saturday past over rival Villanova at CA. Aliyyah was 10 of 18 from the floor and a perfect 5 of 5 from the free throw line with 19 of her points coming in the second half in the team's 11th win in a row.
Congratulations again Aliyyah on this most prestigious honour.
Now go kick Georgetown's but tomorrow like the men did yesterday.
