On May 30th 2015 Alisha, a 5 10 junior guard out of Neumann Gorreti high school, the top player on the top team in Philly , committed to Syracuse over St. John's and West Virginia. Don't ask me what transpired as I honestly don't know but she was released by Syracuse and was just cleared tonight to play for SJU. A huge coup for Joey and staff this late in the game and she will be a great asset on our team going forward. It's no secret that our sophomore class , juniors to be , have not lived up to their billing at all for a variety of reasons , and Alisha's commitment is huge for the program.
Very happy for the staff and program.

Great news and thanks for the update, Aubie Unless Alisha is the next coming of Handford, I'm afraid that we will be in rebuilding mode next year. As you mentioned, several of the players on our current roster have not developed as expected and do not seem ready to take over the reins of the program. I hate to be a pessimist but, based on what we saw of our returnees last season, it looks like a real stretch for next year's team to compete for a post season berth. I really hope they work hard, develop and prove me wrong. Nobody would be happier to eat crow next March!!

Surprised that a 5 star girl out of Hartford didn't go to Yukon
She was ranked 5* but number 50 overall in the class which leads me to believe she is a 4* recruit. In any event they are loaded and have Kia Nurse at pg who is starting her junior year who will play 30 plus minutes a game. Not too much pt available at UConn.
She may not have even been recruited by Geno or may have just wanted pt from day 1 and knew it would be minimal at best at UConn.
