ADR

Going a little off topic-What are the program's reasonable expectations for ADR next year, in terms of whether he can provide a bit of an inside/post presence? Were any of SJU's practices open to the public/media?

Eligibility and work ethic will determine what we get out of him. We really won't know the answer until we see him next October. If he gets in shape, then we should be impressed with his skill.

I believe he has the potential to be in the Brad Waldow (St. Mary's) mode in shape. Very capable under the basket.

Very skilled. His fundamentals are obvious by just watching him for a few minutes. Soft hands and more athletic than most anyone would expect--although not a good athlete on his best day. Nobody will ever back him down, and I don't think he'll be a complete liability against smaller, quicker centers either. With his current weight, I can't see him playing more than 3 minutes at a time, though.

To say we could have used him this year would be an understatement. The fact that his brother has absolutely no skill whatsoever and was able to play us neutral against Big East competition several times, shows you how important size can be for a center.

i met him after the St. Thomas Aquinas game-nice kid-very accommodating to my sons. His ineligibility was announced days later. I'd guess the only source on his progress would be staff and players who practice with him. at the risk of stating the obvious, an interior scoring threat would be most welcome.

Agreed. Also seems like a really good teammate and kid (hard foul at CTK not withstanding). His conditioning will determine if he's a 10 mpg guy or a Waldow type.

Found it extremely strange that there was never an update given on his status this year

No problem, he could never catch me.
Seriously he needs to lose weight, it is painful to watch him jog off the court
