ACC to Barclays - Official

Leccesse is a top notch lawyer. Great to see he negotiated the deal.

Poor A10. Losing Barclays (not that they drew anyone and I'm sure we will poach them again during expansion)

Man the ACC really wants to be the old Big East....so funny after they mocked us for years....steal all our teams, now play in our backyard...I HATE EVERY ACC team

The ACC (and ESPN) wants to become the old Big East in the worst way. Placing four or five teams in the NCAA is not the start they had in mind.

The article says that NYC is a central location for the conference... haha

The closest school to the Barclay's is Syracuse which is 250 miles away. This is such a joke of them trying to be the Big East.

I think Boston College is closer than Syracuse.

btw that LOSER Bilas just said that there is no more BIG EAST and this would be huge for college basketball to be playing in NYC. Have fun in that RUSTBOWL of a crappy stadium with that big ear freak Coach K and his clonnies Dicky V and Bilas who spew Duke on every other word .....MAN I HATE DUKE!!!!!!!!!!! I hate the ACC.

Really think any expansion needs to bring in some teams with a big time tradition...I know you don't like the idea of bringing in teams with football teams, but I would take teams like UCONN with the proper penalties to protect against a defection.

Hate them as much as anyone but they have cred and are committed to sustained winning

It's not that I don't like it. Which I don't. Its that it would totally do a 180 on what made the new BE form. There are no proper penalties to prevent consistency. The day Uconn, Umass, Memphis, or pick another mediocre football team cuts football I think they will get an invite.

By 2017 -- Krezcheski (whatever) retired; Williams retired; Boeheim retired; Pitino retired. Star power will fade. MD is gone; FL State and Clemson will have left. ACC will be diminished.
