What will his legacy be? I can't believe I am saying this, but part of me actually feels sorry for him.

I don't feel one bit sorry for him
He and Bonds would have been HOFers without the steroids
He and he alone is responsible for his actions
He should never be considered for the HOF
You make your bed, you lie in it
Whether you call him A-Roid or A-Fraud, he screwed up his legacy big time!!
If it were up to me, I'd give him the $$ he's owed and tell him to stay far, far away
The man has been a complete a$$ in so many ways for many, many years
In my world, he's no role model for youngsters
I would never want him interacting with the young players in the organization
Now, do you want to know how I really feel about A-Roid?

The BIGGEST reason MLB teams don't sue cheaters for the salary they earned for steroid inflated performance is that fans would then have an equal right to sue for refunds for tickets and cable tv. Well, that and the fact that MLB was complicit in allowing roid cheaters as attendance and revenue hit unprecedented levels.

A-rod - vastly talented, a cheater, and a dumbass who doesn't know how stupid he sounds even though he can construct grammatically correct sentences. Those guys have given baseball a black eye far worse than Pete Rose's gambling.

Highly disagree that he is a HOF'er without steroids. In fact, I believe it's documented, or has been concluded that he started using PED's in his early years on the Rangers (I believe he admitted he could not handle the pressure of playing in Texas and it led him to start using). That to me shows that he was a completely different player while using them.

His last three years before he went to the Rangers he hit .310+ twice, and 40+ homers and drove in over 110 each year. Yeah he was not much of a player then. Even if he just kept that up he would be a HOFer. I believe it was the pressure of the contract that got to him, not the pressure of playing. You have to be incredibly biased to not see that Bonds and Arod and Clemens were among the best of their generation steroids or not. Why folks at that level start using is beyond me.

Steroids or not he was the best player I ever saw in person in my generation. I guess people could say bonds but oh man was he good for an infielder

As much as I despise him, I would suggest that A-Rod may have had the most impact of all the the players when he was in his prime. He put up offensive numbers as a shortstop that rival almost anyone SS in history. He was also an excellent defensive player. Many pundits have openly stated that Jeter, not A Rod, was the selfish one. They suggest that the Yankees would have been better off with A Rod at SS and Jeter at 3B but they didn't want to push the issue with their star player, Jeter, who was unwilling to make the move.

On a separate note other than this special advisor thing I really hope he ends up in the broadcast booth because after that short time he did in the post season I think he is a natural and could end up being as awesome as Keith and Ron. He brings a great perspective in the way he analyzes things. I think he could be fantastic at it

A-Rod's completely stupid public comment was something along the lines of "it's smart to move me to thirf and not Jeter because I can play that position and Jeter couldn't" and "SS is his position and if it wete the other way around I wouldn't move for him"
