Beck sat directly in front of me at Looie's funeral. He was visibly deeply emotional during mass. He is Jewish but asked Chris V for instructions on how to indicate on the Eucharist line how to ask for a blessing. After mass, I leaned into Bruce, thanked him for all he does for St. John's and told him he is as much a Johnny as any of us.
