Rick Cole has stayed local, working at St. John’s as Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs, and then at Dowling College as Athletic Director from 2005-2013; he’s been at Iona in New Rochelle since 2013. That’s 11 years of AD experience on lower levels, and some St. John’s experience.
John D`Argenio has been Athletic Director since 1992, as Acting Director his first year and official AD from 1993 on. In that 23 years, the Saints have maintained a level of excellence within their conference and have fielded a strong and well-attended men’s basketball team in Albany.
Mike Broeker is the Deputy Athletic Director for Big East conference member Marquette. He currently oversees marketing and licensing and oversees the Athletics program (and explained Marquette’s hoops schedule to our friends at Paint Touches). He is also a graduate of Siena college and has worked for the Women’s Tennis Association and the NBA in communications.
Terry Gawlik has been Senior Associate Athletic Director at Wisconsin since 2005, with oversight over softball, volleyball, women’s basketball and rowing. She is also the chair of the NCAA’s D-1 Women’s basketball Championship Sport Committee as of September 1st. She is originally from Texas and graduated from Southwestern University and Texas State.

Broeker' s marketing, licensing experience is certainly appealing, especially in light of these specific needs in the AD from what I gather.
Agree, go with the Marquette guy. The Jesuits seem to actually know what they are doing, but, please, no more six year contracts.

Siena athletic director is a candidate at St. John's
Longtime Siena athletic director John D'Argenio has had discussions with St. John's about filling the same position at the Big East school, a source familiar with the situation confirmed.
SNY reported Wednesday that D'Argenio is one of four finalists for the St. John's vacancy, along with Wisconsin senior associate athletic director Terry Gawlik, Marquette deputy athletic director Mike Broeker and Iona athletic director Rick Cole Jr.
D'Argenio declined comment.
Although St. John's plays at a higher level than Siena, they're similar in that they're Catholic schools that count men's basketball as their highest-profile sport.
Chris Monasch resigned as St. John's athletic director on June 30, 2015. The Queens school has had a pair of interim replacements since then.
D'Argenio has served as Siena's athletic director since 1992. Prior to that, he was the college's sports information director for seven years.
He made $135,898 in base compensation and $158,669 in total compensation in the 2014-15 academic year, the most recent figures available through Siena's Form 990 tax documents.
Under D'Argenio, Siena is undergoing $13.5 million worth of enhancements to its Alumni Recreation Center and Marcelle Athletic Complex.
Broeker, another reported finalist, is a 1997 Siena graduate who worked for D'Argenio for a year as a marketing/sports information assistant. Cole, the Iona athletic director, works for a school that is a rival of Siena in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

If this is leaked and he's the leading candidate, based on his salary, SJU is going cheap. They will adjust it for living in NY, and think they got a bargain, except when he figures out what housing costs here.

According to sources close to Slice, salary is not the issue. They have to factor in the cost of working with Mullin and his NBA staff.
