Many Siena College fans believe that Siena will be offered membership in the A10 if additional A10 schools ( i.e. Dayton, st.Louis or VCU) move to the Big East.

I'm disappointed that Siena didn't get in over Davidson. These last 3 years under Mitch really hurt their apeal. Now it will probably take some defections, most likely St. Louis/Dayton/Richmond joining our league for them to get a spot. I still think it will eventually happen.

I met Mitch almost 30 years ago when I coached basketball and he was Rollie's assistant at Villanova
A great guy!! I'm really sorry things didn't work out well for him at Siena
If the Big East expands with A-10 schools, I am confident that Siena will get in
A good market, an excellent arena, a history of past success and a very good new head coach all work in their favor
Davidson has been very competitive for a long time under Bob McKillop, a Long Island native
They, too, deserve a spot in the A-10. Good for them!!

Would be a good move for the A-10
Siena plays in a large and very nice facility in the Albany area
Until the last coach, who was recently fired, Siena was very competitive for a long time
Several of their coaches, including Louis Orr and Fran McCaffery, used it as a stepping stone to big time coaching jobs
Jimmy Patsos will do a great job there and will bring the program and fan base back in the very near future
Patsos is crazy. Literally lost his mind crazy.

His strategy against Davidson may have been the single dumbest coaching I've ever seen.

I dont remember that, what did he do? I just know that he makes Mike Rice look calm. Another guy that I cannot understand why a recruit would sign up to play under.

He double teamed him away from the ball, the other three defenders had to play 3 v 4.

And was more proud afterward about holding Curry to zero points than he was upset about losing the game by like 30 points. He had no intention of winning the game.

Guess what though?
Your always going to remember that. He was losing anyway. Mission accomplished.

I remember it as "What an asshole," though, and not "Wow, awesome defense." I guess if that was his intent then he did accomplish his mission.
