Let's all remember the many who were lost and ultimate sacrifices made by our first responders, POLICE, FIRE FIGHTERS etc. Unfortunately, judging by the events of the past few years, many have certainly forgotten.

I imagine NYC Catholic high schools lost a lot of alumni as well. At Chaminade we lost 14, plus four students at the time lost their fathers.

The organizers told me attendance goes down with each passing year.

watching the US Open yesterday it hit me that Alcaraz wasn't even born before 9/11. Cant believe it's 21 years

Time heals wounds but to be clear, it wasn't a lack of respect or fading memory that we stopped. We did that for almost 20 years. A couple of members directly affected by first responder efforts contacted me independent of each other, and made strong cases to stop so I did. If they want to share more details they can.

This site has gotten me through at least two low points in my life, and not sure what I would have done if I hadn't had it to distract me.

So if people directly affected by 9/11 asked Paul to stop, especially if they needed the site to be up that day for the sake of their mental health, I certainly support the decision 100 percent.
