5am Arrival/Other observations

I'm sure I'm going to be derided for excuse making here. I read in the NY post that the time arrived in Indiana at 5am Tuesday. Assuming that report is accurate, how could that have happened. The forecast for Monday was undisputed for the previous 72 hours. Should have left Sunday, no? Obviously, this was not completely determinative for last night's result. They certainly played like a team with no rest. Only time all season the effort wasn't there.

Other observations-
-hard to see where a necessary quality road win will come between Georgetown, Xavier, and Villanova.
-Whatever health reasons, Harrison has, they don't look capable of beating solid team with him scoring less than 15-18 pts. His toughness has been admirable.
-the small lineup, sometimes trotted out by necessity, doesn't look sustainable for more than 2-3 minute periods. BE teams, too big, too tough, too smart.

I'm guessing there is more to the story. You can't take kids out of class for mon-tues-weds for a tuesday night game. Also guessing they fly commercial as opposed to renting or owning the private jets that pro teams use. At that point changing a flight because of anticipated weather could be very expensive. You raise good points, but likely there is more to the story

FWIW......It's my understanding that after the team's United Airline flight was cancelled they had to find a charter. I was told they left NY around midnight.

It's sad, huh? Thankfully a lot of former SJU players have a different life because of their SJU education

I think it was pretty safe to assume classes wouldn't happen on Monday with the weather.
