First 4 that PM me can be my guests at this Thursday's St. John's Baseball Dinner.

Location: Hotel Edison, 228 West 47th Street

Time: 6PM-9PM

Jacket and Tie required

Special Guests: Joe Panik and Jason DeGrom.

Just as an FYI, JSJ is a debonair and charming dinner companion. However, I've turned him down one too many times and I'm afraid I won't ever get another personal invitation from him. Well, that and boring him for 2 hours at the Carnesecca/Kaiser birthday dinner.

Man I wish I lived in N.Y., tickets are not cheap. Got invite from coach Blankmeyer. You are some generous guy, JSJ. Thanks.
 
Panik was honored at halftime. I think he had the WS trophy with him. Seemed to really enjoy the moment and had a huge grin on his face the entire time. Another SJU to be proud of.

Not to nitpick, but it wasn't at halftime. I went to get beers right after the Under 8 media time out and as I was waiting for a cold adult beverage I heard the announcer. And of course the TV's in the hallways were not on garden vision, why I can't answer!

Caught up with Coach Blank at the halftime and he was a prince as usual!

Not a nitpick, I don't mind saying I wasn't really focused on the whole thing until I realized it was Panik. Was that the WS trophy? He seemed to be having a blast, and his trajectory from SJU to WS champ with a tremendous contribution is nothing short of astonishing - even to him
 
Nice time last night, good turnout. I want to thank JSJ for the invitation, extremely generous. Joe Panik was friendly and coincidentally, someone who works (unbeknownst to me prior to yesterday afternoon) at my firm played at SJU with Joe and introduced me to him at the dinner. Great representative of the school. Impressed by the fact that we're in the top 11 all-time in terms of winning percentage. Jacob deGrom was interviewed, CJ Nitkowski was the emcee. and Coach Blankenship was honored for his 20 years there and 614 wins.

Oh John Franco and Billthetruth was there as well... :p
