We took Minnesota to the woodshed tonight. Missed FTs and wide open threes are the only reason we didn't win by 25+.

This was one of the best defensive efforts I've seen from this group in four years. Like a pitcher that didn't have their best stuff, they gritted out a win anyway.

Dom played like an animal...four awful mental breakdowns, but we can live with that if hustles and hits the glass like he did tonight. Lavin had a great game plan and switched d on them at good times.

The Big East is 38-2. We did our part. Depaul has to come back on Lehigh now down 11 with plenty of time.

Have to agree the aggression threw Minny for a loop in second half & rebounding was excellent. Time to tighten up areas like FTs, turnovers to have a chance against Zags. Jordan needs to get it together, talented, but too sloppy tonight. All in all way to hang guys.
 
Obekpa can play a lot better than he did tonight. His hands were awful and he left ten points on the floor with soft finishes. He triple pumped 5'9 Matthieu one on one.

They brought it all night. Four guys that can attack....first time we've seen that. We won't shoot THAT poorly from three too often either.

Gonzaga is going to be near impossible with their size and shooting. Man, if we could steal that one....
 
Really happy to get the win but we were much more talented. This could have been a twenty point win.
 
Down the road we will know if this was a win on a bad game night or if this how we going to play

Nonsense. We already know we can shoot free throws better than this and our 3 point shooting is better than this (even if it is normally not very good). We overcame those things tonight and still beat a good team. Enjoy it and look forward to us improving upon this effort.

Agreed, but we need to play to our strengths. Defense, speed and athleticism. This board loves to kill Lav and our guys for "having talent" and "being athletic", but if that's what we are, then use it and do it very well. We saw glimpses of that tonight, and we'll need more of it against the Zags.

Well we have to shoot the ball better from 3 play D that we are capable of rebound and stop the open 3s mainly from the corners and we can do it
