3 Generation Legacy at St. John's

JSJ thank you so much for posting this. I knew her grandmother quite well, and as Assistant Dean was absolutely amazing to me when I had a death in the family. I also was friends with her dad when I was a student at SJU, but lost track of him over the years, except to hear about him from his mom (the Dean) when I would run into her at conferences (she had become the editor of a magazine and we would spend time and sometime go to mass together). When Angele D'Angelo passed away suddenly a few years ago, I immediately began to see if I could locate her son Ernie to reconnect and express my gratitude for his mom for her having befriended and helping me. Instead I discovered after much searching that her dad has passed away.

Now because of this article, I will be able to tell this kid what a great Dad and Grandmother she had, and how they impacted me in a positive way. Thank you!

Wonderful story evocative of what St, John's has always been. It gives meaning to the chant , We Are St. John's. I am proud the D'Angelos, are part of us and, I will always be proud to be part of St. Johns , even to this day. What a treasure those people are.
