Their crowds at MSG have been pretty disappointing in recent years. Nothing like they were 10 yrs ago. Not sure why. Recession?

Maybe they are not selling PBRs at the remodeled Garden :)
 
Their crowds have been down because of:


1. their program's NCAA/other problems;

2. conference realignment issues,

3. Calhoun health-related problems and

4. JC's retirement
.
The program has lost some of its panache= lower interest.

They still have three National Titles under JC and countless NBAers. Can't take that away from them.

Our fondest recent memory is one Final Four appearance where we lost by a bunch to the team that didn't win the whole thing.

Now if we had only met Memphis State in the semis and if Nova knocked off G-Town in the other semi, then we'd have one national title.................

The 4 issues you brought up were all this year and 'maybe' last year.

We were a few years ago.
No inside knowledge but I'd guess NIT next year maybe. Then Atlantis and Maui the following years. Might be some re-shuffling of those tourneys with the conferences shaking out now.

I hope you are correct.. Atlantis and Maui will be fun travel games :cheer:
 
We will be playing at the Legend's Classic next year and Maui is 2015. Atlantis could be a possibility for 2014 nothing set in stone.

Is Legends Classic a tournament? Isn't it only 2 games?
 
The games at the Barclays center are tournament style. Not sure if there are preliminary games like the Coaches vs Cancer.

Funny how the Final 4 are pre-determined in this tourney, might have been better basketball if youngstown/southern miss were able to play in the Finals lol. If we are playing in this one next year, we are guaranteed atleast one Final 4 for 13-14 ;)

Most tourneys are like this nowadays. No one cares about the quality of ball in the semis, just the tickets sold.
 
Thought that was the whole point of the predetermination-even if a big name school suffers an upset they still make final four (figuring they are still the better team and draw).
