Would have never guessed Cinci would be that high, but as you mention, it's the criteria he used. And he's going back to the 30s, and they had some good teams in the old days.

Guess two national championships(1961 and '62), followed by a two-point OT loss to Loyola of Chicago in 1963's title game, didn't hurt.

I'll give you an idea, Monte
At one time, St John's was #4 on the NCAA all time wins list
Back then, I could never have imagined that the program would have fallen the way it did
But I am optimistic about the future and will always root for the Johnnies with all my heart

I remember the early days of coming to this site, there used to be a banner when you came on the site stating St. John's was Top 5 all time in wins.
