2025 Recruits

Curious when we may see some 2025 Official Visits lined up. Seeing a lot of other Big East schools setting these up. Last year we were heavily involved with Glover at this time but this year not hearing any noise on targets we are heavily involved with

My opinion, based on optics, and how much further ahead other schools in our conference are in 2025 class, It feels like it's not a major priority for SJU honestly. Portal has clearly taken precedent.

A lot is riding on this season going well.

Was wondering the same... haven't seen our name associated with any of the recent posts... doesn't mean we dont have some irons in the fire...

Also (obviously subject to change...) On Paper... we are only set to "lose" 3 guys next season... Smith/Kadary/Scott....

Brought in 4 freshmen this year with the addition of Prey...

Yup, once again, guards would seem to be a priority. Building a program through mostly transfers seems like a risky business. It would seem to me that a programs foundation should be built with high level high school talent with transfers as a supplement.

I agree. But tough climate now since you recruit a 4 star and then in a year he leaves but tricky to rely only on transfers i think especially considering how long it takes to acclimate to each outer and overall chemistry. Still thikn need to bring in 1-2 high level HS players every year like Wilcher and Dunlap

I think after the NCAAs latest ruling the only guys they have to "lose" are Kadary and Scott. And yes, subject to change!

Only 18 of ESPNs top 100 2025 recruits are already committed so while we may be a little behind, still plenty of fish to be reeled in.

Agree but job #1 is rerecruiting the 6 frosh and soph on this year's roster to stay next year provided they all show performance and potential. SMDH that this is job #1.
