If he’s too expensive for the NY Giants then I assume he’s staying in College where the contracts have been outrageous.

However, I am curious as to where you heard that the high revenue, big market Giants would find a Coach too expensive IF they really want a guy? Not a Giant fan at all but unless something else is going on money has not been a factor with the Giants ownership. At least it shouldn’t be no?
 
Kiffin apparently told Dart's dad that New York is too cold. Though I'm sure the guy has lied a whole bunch before so we'll see.

Haven’t exactly had a string of high profile coaches since Coughlin.
 
I felt it yesterday that its not a sure thing Schoen is retained. And now Ian O'Connor is also saying its not set in stone. He can lead the search but the hiring will be done by Mara and Tisch. If he brings them lackluster candidates he could very easily be shown the door.

Giants ownership kept GM Jerry Reese when Tom Coughlin was not retained and paired him with Ben McAdoo. They were 13-15 together.

Ownership kept GM Dave Gettleman when Pat Shurmur was fired and paired him with Joe Judge. That became a 10-23 marriage.

Woody Johnson fired GM Mike Tannenbaum and hired John Idzik Jr. to pair with Rex Ryan. They were 12-20 together.

An exception: Bears GM Ryan Poles fired coach Matt Eberflus in their third season together with a 14-32 record, but he did get the chance to hire Ben Johnson this season. Poles interviewed when the Giants hired Schoen.

Offer the guy big money, the rest is up to Lane.
Then atleast they tried.
 
I am rooting for Daniel Jones and Colts for the remainder of this season.

If Schoen is not fired, I am taking a break from this team. The ineptitude is just too painful to watch.
 

We have heard plenty of candidates already mentioned for Big Blue, including Jaxson Dart’s former college coach Lane Kiffin. But another name has surfaced as a potential possibility: Jon Gruden.
