2020 recruiting wish list

It’s still a slow offseason and not much info coming out of our camp. What everybody hoping to see recruiting-wise for 2020 somewhat realistically? I’m guessing we will have somewhere near 4 scholarships when all said and done? Go..

Posh, two solid Jucos like Guess and Cole to help w loss of Heron and Figueroa and an inside player. Of course getting Diarra as well as Posh & eliminating a Juco noted, would be great, but unlikely imo.

I may be wrong, but Posh seems to be the only 2020 top 100 recruit that we're realistically in on. He seems like a must. Get Posh before the season starts and I'll be pretty happy. If we miss out on him and don't contend on the court, then this will be a long year.

Seems a bit early to conclude that we only have a shot with one top 2020 HS recruit. However, even if that is true, landing top JC recruits can be every bit as valuable (see LJ, Walter Berry and many others over the years).
Time will tell for sure, but verdict on 2020 recruiting is very far away at this point.

True, but LJ is a massive outlier for JUCO success. We've relied heavily on JUCOs for the past 7/8 years and I can't think of anyone as good as LJ. JUCOs are fine to help fill out a team (and sometimes lead like LJ), but after the last few years I'm ready to get some quality 4 year high school recruits again.

Since it's just a wish list, there's no need to consider the actual likelihood of us landing the player. With that, I still wish for Andre.

I don’t believe we have relied too heavily on jucos the last 7/8 years at all. Personally I wish we had had one or two more. I have no doubt that CMA will continue to recruit and rely on jucos as he has always done and will be far less dependant on transfers than the last regime. Until we can win at the highest level , a big if from where we sit today, higher level high school recruits and jucos is the way to go.

My wish list would b Posh, Diarra, Key and either top JUCO.
Georgetown had success with two freshman guards and I believe we could have similar success. Both can handle, both can score.
Key would be a solid front court addition. Could contribute somewhat as a fresh and grow into a solid player.
Only accepting only one top JUCO is based on our scholarship class. We already have five players in that class and adding two would be problematic. Tough to recruit a six man class, let alone seven.

Hardy and Brownlee where pretty damn good JUCOs, as well. And the Marcus' before them. There are others even of more recent vintage.

I'm fine with JUCOs as one source of recruiting, and more comfortable with this staff doing so because of Anderson's historical success in that market plus TJ and Demeo's knowledge of the space. There just needs to be recruiting balance.
