There isn't a 2020 recruiting section, so I guess I'll put it here.

I completely understand that programs need to recruit kids as early as possible. But the fact that we are even discussing an 8th grader is just depressing to me. Something really wrong with this entire system.

Others have been doing it for a long time. And by others I mean big boy programs.

. Agreed, right or wrong, it is just the reality. The kid has probably been recruited by high schools/basketball factories for years already.
 
We don't have to like it or agree with it but just get with the program. Coach Mullin always talks how he met Coach Lou at age 12 and stayed in contact since that age. The fact that our staff is in contact with kids in grade 8 and 9 will only be to our benefit down the road. I applaud their efforts.
