I couldn’t stand all the attention he was getting ;). But really I said early last year Earlington will make and All BE team before it’s all said and done and with our lack of scorers this year he is going to produce.

Two most athletic on the team are Posh and Williams and I don’t think it’s close. Moore amazingly athletic for his height but Cole and Williams can jump out of the gym.

I think Posh, Cole, Champ and Moore will score some points.

Didn’t mean they wouldn’t. If any of them averaged 14 I wouldn’t be surprised. Also wouldn’t be surprised if any of them averaged 8. ME is more of sure thing in terms of getting his 12+ points consistently IMO.

The Duke is the best garbage man in the big east. With Chamy out, I think we get about 18 points from the duke tonight.

Go johnnies!

I love Marcellus, but if he leads our team in scoring I don't think we'll exceed the preseason predictions. IMO his role needs to be as the 6th or 7th man who injects a huge dose of energy when he steps on the court, and creates (even more) chaos on the defensive end. But hey, he shocked me with his production last year, so maybe he'll do it again this year. Let the games begin!!!

Maybe we'll see some high scoring games from Cole early season if CMA keeps him on the floor.

Cole one of the few proven scorers on the roster. Granted it was at JC, but let's hope it carries over to D1. Other then Cole, Dunn the only other proven scorer on the roster. Doesn't mean that no one else(Champ, Williams, etc) will step up, but think Cole is key for us at this point.

I agree and frankly if our depth is as good as people are saying it would not be crazy to assume Marcellus’ minutes could be slightly less than last year.

Absolutely minutes and bench V starter matter, but here are our players points per minute from last year.

Dunn - .41 ppm
Champ - .39 ppm
Williams - . 24 ppm
Earlington - .49 ppm

LJ - .51 ppm

Earlington scored at a better clip than all of them and we are only going to need more scoring this year.

And think we'll see similar excellent production from him this year: 15-20 MPG/7-10PPG. Don't think he's gonna get 25-30MPG and average 12.5-15PPG.

That’s completely fair but none of those 3 have proven to be better scorers than ME. Or Marcellus ;)

Does anyone on the team average more than 12 pts a game? Maybe not...and maybe that'll be a good thing.

I am eager to see Posh Alexander. I think his ability to distribute the ball, push the tempo and create off the dribble for others is the key. How much Posh can step right in will really determine how many points others will get. Guys like Earlington and Champ. are not going to create their own shots. I’m thinking transition and off the dribble to get some easy baskets. I think SJU will struggle if we see stand around offensive sets.
