Mariano Rivera with 100% of the vote. The first player ever to go on a unanimous vote. Edgar Martinez, Doc Holliday and Moose (Mike Mussina) get in also. Although Moose will go in as an Oriole probably, so glad another one who wore the pinstripes ( and did a fine job while wearing them is in).

I love that you specified which Moose got into the HOF :woohoo:

On TV today he said he still has not decided whether he will go in as a Yankee or Oriole.

Probably contemplating the future $$ value of being a yankee hof'er

I thought the HoF decides what cap an inductee's plaque wears in cases like this.

I think a player's wishes play a big part. If he is really unable to choose, he may let the HOF decide. Another option is to enter the HOF with no team logo. Just read that Roy Halladay's family requested that he enter the HOF without a team logo.

The Hall of Fame voting has become a real joke
There are a lot of players who have been inducted that don't belong IMO
There's a big difference in my mind between a very, very good player and an all time great
The HOF should only be for all time greats IMO
My other pet peeve is about the Veterans Committee (or whatever it's called now)
If you couldn't get elected in 15 years (now 10), why do you deserve more consideration?
Also, the fact that Rivera is the first unanimous pick ever is also a joke

Agree on all points! Harold Baines is a prime example of a player who should not have been elected. He went from something like 6% of the vote to getting elected by the veterans committee. Players, like Babe Ruth, Lou Gerig, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron & Micky Mantle not getting in unanimously is just wrong.
