Just a few quick thoughts. I think Champagnie is gonna be a big surprise as well as Dunn. Champagnie especially as many thought he was a marginal recruit for our level. Kid is long, athletic, and can rebound and finish. He’s tough and has a great motor. I wonder maybe he can do a better job taking Clark’s plac Ethan some might think, as he may not shoot as well, but has more size, rebounding, finishing inside.

I think Dunn might surprise as well. He’s gritty, tough and can get to the hoop and more. We have depth and I think we might be better than people think.

I'm also high on Champagnie, I think he will end up being a good player for us. I think he starts some games at the 4 this year. I dont think hes a marginal recruit, him and his bro had other high major offers. Also similar to the Martin twins from Nevada, Julian is less heralded but might end up the more valuable player at this level. Hes not as athletic but he has more of a wing skillset than his brother who is more of a power forward.

I'm curious to see how Dunn translates to the Big East. I'm sure he'll be able to score it's just a matter of efficiency with him. Also how much PG does he play, I know hes more of a scorer but he played PG while Ponds played the 2 at Jefferson. Dunn Heron Figueroa Champagnie Steere is the lineup I'm most excited about. Heron and Figgy can play their natural positions which should be the focus since they are our 2 best players. If Dunn cant run the offense and is a turnover machine he can be the sixth man with Rutherford at the 1. He is not a scoring threat like Dunn but he can run a team and play solid defense. Should be a fun year 1.

NCAA will probably rule Steere eligible at the beginning of the season. Problem is they probably won't issue their ruling until after the first semester. They sure do like to make us sweat out these eligibility rulings (Steere and Dunn). SMH
