2017-18 Transfers:

Typically, the Christmas seasons has the SJU Nation scouring various lists of transfers. This year is different. We have no available scholarships. NONE!!! Still worried that the UConn poaching/coaching staff will be dropping by soon.

If you're always looking, here is one list with some interesting names.

I'm not worried about them at all, since they are trending way down and we are on the rise. I think the theft of Sid was a last gasp from a dying program.

Matt sits this cycle out since we have no spots, and kids transferring this past semester need to find a home quick. But given the uncertainty with Ponds and Lovett, I think he definitely already has a list of potential fifth-year PG transfers.

carlton bragg was a 2014 recruit if I'm correct, his fellow recruits are all pros. Bad choices i guess. No thanks. As far as Jordan Tucker goes, we need to definitely put the feelers out on him. He's a former recruit with NY ties, can shoot and has some height. Personally i think Trimble will be gone. Not to start any drama or rumors but he is in same situation as RF was last year. Nice shot but too slow, no defense, and looks a bit lost out there. He played 20+ minutes yesterday and seemed like we were 4 on 5 vs Hall. He didn't contribute at all. Matter of fact seemed our guys were keeping the ball out of his hands. I see him gone and that would free up another ship pending everyone else stays. Its becoming frustrating with LoVett out. We could of won some of these games we lost IMO if he was here. Proud of how the guys played yesterday though

White Plains HS, Stepinac HS, Wheeler HS in Georgia, half a season at Duke. We seem to be building program with gritty kids, not someone who overestimates his abilities. His whole recruitment was a road show. With Ahmed leaving, there is an opportunity here, but hope staff passes.
 
curious why you feel that way? he got offer from Duke and jumped on it. Cant blame him. Although if Ponds and LoVett stay, with our incoming class, I see him as having to fight to start on next years team too. Although he'd get minutes, I still don't see him starting

Would Tucker be eligible second semester next year or would he need to sit out the entire year?
 
No Ahmed, Sid Wilson starring in Storrs, do we have a wing scorer next year? Don't know a thing about Tucker, just asking. Happy New Year
 
Clark could play the 3. . If we don’t loose Ponds, Dixon is a great shooter and we can play a 3 guard lineup. I’m going to to assume Lovett will not be back. The loss of Wilson was a real bummer, could have used him yesterday . If we can hold onto Ponds , we are going to be talented and have a lot of depth next year. We also have good balance w the classes.Rebuilding takes time. Hopefully we will be in the reload mode starting next year. Tucker would be eligible 2nd semester.

I was initially surprised by your dismissal of Jordan but now I truly understand why. I agree, pass.

Have seen him & just don't think he commits to defending, is soft & not worth drama. Moot point since Georgetown appears likely.
