Someone suggested this a while back so why not lol. My vote for the Chief Blackjack Trophy for 2013 goes to JerseyShoreJohnny. Simply put, he is what all SJU fans and alums should strive to be. As for my runner-up, all of the moderators for keeping this site going. Now lets kick off 2014 with a bang and a win over "Mouseketeers" ;)

No better supporter of the school on any of our boards than JSJ. A class act all the way and a great guy. I'm glad he's a friend

Love jsj, Paul and others. That said, this is the year of CRGreen. Great overall basketball fan who developed a new passion for the Redmen. Brought a lot of new mojo to this board. Rip. Member of the year IMO.

Very well said!! A true gentleman who was never moved by any negative views of his comments ....not even by Fun.
A true Maven of the game......even more so than the original Maven!

I hate popularity contests, which to me brings back memories of 5th grade. I will refrain from voting or singling any one in particular out.

I will say this, though. Although there are ample flare-ups of wars-of-words, collectively, Redmen.com seems to me to be a kinder, more positive place than in past years. To that end, I'd say thank you to all of you, for making this a website where we can exchange sometimes divergent opinions, but by and large respect the fact that we are pretty much all good guys and passionate fans.

I too think that the award has to go to crgreen this year. He brought so much to this board since he became part of the Redmen family. So often, I think about what he would have posted after a game or in a recruiting thread. His knowledge of basketball, UCLA and Coach Lavin was invaluable.

It's not your fault...it's not your fault, sport...it's not you fault....

CRGreen without a doubt. Like you say, a true gentleman -- the un-Maven maven -- who brought so much to this board, including civility. We can all learn from how he conducted himself.

Glad to see everyone mention CR Green, enjoyed his contributions as well.

Personally, I'd like to highlight the contributions of Paultzman and Tom in Salem, they both usually bring news from twitter, articles, etc to this site and gives us something to discuss.

Paultz. The man brings it every day.
And I would give an honorable mention to MCNPA, despite the fact I often disagree with what he says.

Lastly, this is in no way a reflection on CR as a person, but on most days he was a lousy poster.
His posts were never objective and more often than not they were off-topic. Occasionally he would bring insight from his experiences in the ABA, or a historical anecdote that most of us wouldn't know. And it was great when he would do that.
Probably a very nice man, but not a great RM poster. I give that vote to people who bring insight into whatever the topic of conversation is on a particular day. A person who has a good personality and vast knowledge of art history may join the board, but if we're talking about the contributions of Sean Evans, and he's posting about Mannerists versus Venitian artists, that's going to be an annoyance to many.

1. Paultz.
2. MCNPA

I vote for Ressurection of Joe. He couldn't spell his screen name, but what do you expect from an avowed atheist. He also loved this website so much that he posted every 12 seconds. He also got suspended more than once, and who can you say that about.
