Got my father's today in the mail (Don't worry, I had his permission to open it. I didn't commit a felony). $625 premium package (waiting to see how many home games there are before I comment on that), $350 Storm Saver Corner, $325 Storm Saver Endzone.

Money due September 13.

So 25 bucks more for normal package

Stil think the difference in price for lesser plans is a joke.

The over/under on the $25 more is 18 home games. That's the number we had on the package last year (counting exhibition games). So, if there are 19 or more games on the season ticket, you can justify the increase in total price, IMO.

New season ticket holder.... Is the backing on the seats available?

Those are usually only available with Red-White Club donations.

The invoice sent this week was only for renewals. New ticket holders have had a "Select-a-Seat" night at Carnesecca the last few years, where you can choose your seats yourself (MSG seating chart is provided).

Fans who want to attend a Stanford home game this year and don't have season tickets will pay more on the day single-game tickets go on sale than those will pay to buy the same tickets a week later, the school will announce Wednesday.

Dynamic pricing allows teams to capitalize on the demand for their seats, with the idea being to leave less money for the resale business.

While dynamic pricing has taken off in recent years and has slowly moved into the college game, with Michigan announcing its single-game football tickets would be driven by that model this season, Stanford says its idea is something new: predictable dynamic pricing.

The Herd with Colin Cowherd

Stanford coach David Shaw weighs in on his team's graduation rate, Jim Harbaugh, Andrew Luck, how his experience in the NFL helps the Cardinal and more.

Michigan's ticket price could move drastically with the whims of the marketplace, but Stanford's model is predictable because the school will tell fans in advance how ticket prices will change by the day.

When single-game tickets go on sale Aug. 1, games against Notre Dame, Cal and Oregon will be subject to this model devised by Dave Sertich, who manages the athletic department's business strategy and has a background in the financial world.

From Aug. 1-4, Notre Dame tickets will cost $140 apiece; that ticket drops to $125 on Aug. 5, $110 on Aug. 8 and $95 on Aug. 12. Should there be any tickets remaining by Aug. 15, Stanford will sell the seats for what it determines to be market price. Oregon tickets are a bit cheaper. From Aug. 1-4, tickets to that game will cost $115, while every three days after that, the price drops $10 until it hits $85 on Aug. 12 before it reverts to market price.

Thanks for posting this. It's an interesting concept. A ticket to the theatre or sporting event is a perishable item. If unsold, it's value plummets to zero, so it does make sense to discount the ticket as you approach event date. If this serves as a disincentive to purchase tickets early, the model will be adjusted or abandoned. It would be cool if the purveyor offered some sort of incentive to those who purchase early, so you don't feel jobbed when the guy sitting next to you paid 50% less than you did.

Look at it this way- If the team becomes a consistent winner you will many advantages.
Good seats locked in, if season ticket sales increase you'll be in good shape for this.
First crack at Big East Tournament and NCAA tournament tickets. Look at it that way, the people who buy last second will not have that access unless they go on the secondary market.

Tix for Syracuse are more than ours. They have no backs on any seats in their dome. It lacks A/C and if you are not courtside, you could find yourself sitting behind a curtain they use to devide the football field for basketball. It really is not a nice place to watch a game.

But you get to "enjoy" the game with 30,000 of your best friends. Ah, paradise ! :)

Los Angeles fan in need of a little guidance on tickets for upcoming season.

I have ordered two season tickets (will try to get back for a few games and give rest of tickets to my nephews living in area). Have the tickets gone out yet? I ask because the ticket office had a little trouble finding my deposit order and although I gave them credit card number for full payment last week I never received any email or other confirmation. Just doesn't instill too much confidence....

Also, the website said I would be able to order extra tickets for individual games before they went on sale to public. Am planning something of a family reunion at the Syracuse game and am looking to buy about 20 tickets to that game ..... Ticket office said I would be able to buy tickets when I get my season tickets. Is that right? Just want to make sure I got correct info and am in position to order tickets as soon as possible------Any guidance would be appreciated

Kind of ironic that its the "Carrier" Dome and there's no AC

You definitely should have received the CA tickets by now. MSG probably another 2 weeks.

Random thoughts: You guys make me smile. Up till 9 years ago I bought 4 season tickets to Syracuse basketball for 25 years. At the end, before I moved to Flori-duhhh, I paid $1000 ( or maybe it was $1200) per seat for the right to walk in the gym to those seats. The seats, I recall were about $700 per, with the first ten games being against the Home for the Blind, Corcoran H.S., East Trombone State, etc. Of course, the students paid less but it was still more than you pay now. During those years I would buy a season ticket at STJ just to keep contact, and donate the ticket nightly to a needy youth. You guys have the best deal on the planet; you are lucky you have it going for you. Enjoy.
BTW, the Carrier Dome is air conditioned; it just doesn't work well when you have a crowd in there.
Good luck for a great season in the new/ old BE. We do have the horses to hurt some people this year and we are coming into the season under the radar. I think we are going to love this team for a lot of years to come.
MY problem this year is to figure out how to get ESPN3 with regularity on my machine; you want a problem, try to rely on them throughout the season. I would give the world and $1000 to be able to see a season at Carnesecca just one more time. You don't know how good and how cheap you've got it. Enjoy it before the rest of you guys inevitably move to the south.
