Unfortunately no one cares about fencing. I dont think the student bodies at most schools that have it even know it exists. St. John’s probably being the rare exception, and only because we've dominated it for so long.

I suggested to someone at SJU last night that they spend $300 and have banners made up congratulating our National Champions and have the banners put up in the DAC, Marrilac and outside Taffner.

School should also have a ceremony at the DAC congratulating our fencers for their outstanding achievements.

Congratulations to the champions. St. John's fencing program (whether people pay attention or not) remains a very good program having had NCAA champions and Olympic medalists.

back when I was in school a long time ago I knew a guy at school who I think was on the fencing team and he bartended at Gantrys and I think his last name was Nemeth. If I remember correctly his name was Gary. Winder if somehow he is related to the winner

The Red-White Club sent out an e-mail congratulating the fencers and asking for money.
