Zags close very strong and win 70-60. The loss likely ends the chance of SMC getting an at-large bid if they don't win the WCC tournament.
It would have been a nice boost if SMC won and soared into the top 50 of the RPI. Our record v. top 50 schools could use some help.
St. Mary's will close the season with two games on the road @189 and @191. They'll face a first round opponent with a current RPI between 189-234 and if they win that, they'll take on BYU in the second round (assuming BYU wins first round game). So there definitely is some hope for the RPI getting inside the top 50 if they can take care of business the next three games if they get some help.
