#1 seed St. John's with a closer-then-expected victory (although it was never REALLY in doubt) over #16 seed Montana State.

This is the game where Berry got hurt. He tried to play through it, but was not himself, and we lost in the next round to Auburn.

John Hempel (great guy, BTW) had a nice performance in this one.

Great pic of Dr. Glick barking out plays to Berry

Thanks Section 3. I would add that the way Auburn played we weren't beating them Truth or not. If I remember they schooled us pretty good that next game.

We just got absolutely pounded on the boards in that game. I don't know what a healthy Berry would have done to change it. He still played his heart out but Person dominated.

That was a fun season though. Nobody expected us to be that good and the fact that the team stayed that healthy that long was amazing. We had the smallest depth chart prior the debacle that was the mid-2000s teams, but still pulled out 30+ wins. I think I actually enjoyed that season more than the final four, just because we weren't expected to do that and ground out a lot of games.
