Can anybody tell me if they ever attended this pregame event where for $10 per person they serve hot food and drinks?
I was informed that you have to be an alumnus and that you can bring guests! Since the Sly Fox closed we are forced to go to Applebee’s off of 188 th st to eat prior to the game! I usually treat my brother in law and 2 son in laws to at least 5 games per year and this would be a great option for us if true!

Beast of the East and some others have gone. I think they liked it. Wasn't huge crowds yet

Sad that Sly Fox is closed and nobody else kept it as is. Was such a good tradition to go there before games...

you can register as an alumni on school alumni website page. On 1870 page below there you can pre RSVP for the 1870 event Just create account there.

Someone else said anyone can go for $10.

Going to Sacred Heart game w/ my family usually go out to eat before the game. My go to 1870 but probably eat somewhere else before and maybe just stop into 1870 to check out and drink only.

Do they charge the same for kids?

Going to try to get there before Wednesday's game. Depends on traffic from Massapequa at that the me

Thanks NC!
A decent place to eat across from the campus is Acquista Trattoria. You may want to try it! Prices are reasonable and the food is good! May see you at the 1870! Thanks again!

I went last week for the first time. Alumni or season ticket holders are charged $10. Not a lot of tables, have cornhole set up for kids to play. Buffet was set up with salad, baked ziti, mac n cheese, some chicken with mushrooms dish and a beef dish. A few cakes were out for desert. Beer or wine is $5 and I think soda/water was $2. A restaurant called queens bully gave out small pulled pork sliders. Another table was set up with salads and paninis for an extra charge. Cheer squad came out and performed a routine. Massage tables for massages as well. Not a bad idea and hopefully it will grow and improve. Will probably go again.

Can you get a happy ending with the massage?
Curious how do you verify if you are an alumnus?
They have an iPad at a table upon check in. You do NOT have to be alum...it doesn't matter who you are. As long as you pay the entry of $10 you are in. That was a major issue in the roll out as the ads implied you had to be R&W or alum. Not true.
