Had the great pleasure of attending The 10th annual St. John's baseball dinner on Thursday night at The Edison Ballroom.
A record crowd of 225 attended
The SJU baseball alumni, as a group, are incredibly loyal to their alma mater. No group of athletes more loyal to St. John's.
Pleased to share that "The Saint" in St. John's, Coach Jack Kaiser, was there.
No one better than he. The quintessential old school gentleman. An icon among icons.
By the way, Jimmy O'Connell is in the process of writing a book about Coach Kaiser. Can't wait to read it !
Among those former SJU stars attending: C.J. Nitkowski, Rich Aurilla, Joe Panik, Johnny Franco, Craig Hansen and Anthony Varvaro,
Also attending were: Terry Collins, Todd Frazier and Willie Randolph
CJ did a fantastic job orchestraing Q&A's with T.C. and Todd.
Coach Blankmeyer, IMO, is in the same category as Coach Kaiser and Coach Carnesecca.
We at St. John's are lucky to have him representing our great university.
A first class person and coach in every way.
