St. John's players in 2025 NBA Summer League

Former Johnnie David Jones Garcia lit up the summer league averaging 22 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 3.4 apg. in 8 games. Reportly enough to turn down huge overseas contract and give the NBA a shot. Wish him the best of luck.

Why not? Europe will still be there if the NBA doesn’t work out.

To be fair we aren’t just any team in Europe. We are the best team in all of Europe, at worst 2nd behind Real Madrid. Missed opportunity if you ask me!

hes gonna be 24 in Nov... a two year deal takes him to 26 yrs of age... if hes gonna give the NBA a go... this might be it for him.

(this is a take with 0 knowledge if players enter the League from Europe >25yrs old... i assume its a safe take)

Of course the NBA is the NBA all I’m saying is this isn’t an offer to play in Belarus! He will play in the Euroleague final 4 and be a superstar for Olympiacos. Most guys would rather be the 10th man on an NBA team and I get that completely. Obviously very biased here!

No Ceilings took a closer look at Daniss Jenkins and David Jones-Garcia in a longform article about under-the-radar Summer League performers.

Jenkins proved he has the type of two-way adaptability teams are looking for from bench guards during his Summer League minutes.

Out of all the players I got to evaluate up close while in Las Vegas, Jones-Garcia was the smoothest at creating separation for knocking down shot after shot.
