Pitino won this miserable program the Big East. That alone deserves respect. RJ quit on us in the Arkansas game and Jackson is a bum. This is as good as it gets for SJU basketball.
Has one of the biggest payrolls in college basketball. I am is his biggest fan but he has lost it. —

Yeah. And, I'd argue it was proof of concept that strong point guard play is everything in college basketball. I wouldn't be so pessimistic if we had one. Darling's a nice 15mpg against some teams, and an absolute 0 against teams we need to beat in March/April.
There’s definitely reasons to be pessimistic. I think it’s far from a done deal this team can’t compete at that level.

He could have signed up a PG instead of 3 SGs and we wouldn’t be here.

We just got beat by a poorly coached team that couldn’t manufacture bucket. Total disgrace.
I get we might not have had money left enough to outbid Nova for Lewis, but we could have saved 200k for Bud Clark? We'd be undefeated with either of them.

I followed Pitino since Louisville and I finally admit he cannot coach in this NIL world — his teams are completely disorganized and he should retire. With his payroll it is hard to do worse than he is doing right now.
His rotations are terrible — he killed dingle - he killed RJ - he will kill Jackson
Sad to say - he should retire
Is this Timothy Leary?

We can compete. But when it's the last 8 minutes, things will not be all that different now or later. Mitchell, Sellers, Ian, or Darling are all fine solutions as a primary ball handler for different times of the game. Last 8 minutes? You need a guy. Last year, we had two -- Kadary and Deivon. This year, 0.

So depressing. Just didn't show up in the 2nd half. These losses will haunt this team.

Pretty confident they will run through the BE and give Pukon a run for their money. But come selection Sunday that great BE record won't matter and we'll be looking at a team with a great record with very few Q1 wins. 8 seed at best and a tough road in March.

Any other year the thought of that would be amazing, but I was blinded by the hype. This team will turn it around and play better but only because the BE is weak as sh1t.

Then I will get excited again, cry foul when the team gets an 8 seed and then lose my mind when they get bounced by a SEC team with a 500 record.
