Cruz Davis messed around and almost got a triple double
It was Craig Nettles actually came up with that line (“ Spary Lyle went from Cy Young to Sayonara”)I hope that RJ Luis recovers well and realizes his dream of the NBA. His story reminds me of Sparky Lyle, who won the Cy Young award in 1977 with the Yankees. After the 78 season he was traded to Texas. His famous comment was "In one year I went from Cy Young to sayonara".

Daniss Jenkins… our dearest Daniss Jenkins, just hit a game tying 3pter to send the pistons game to overtime. Yes you read that right
By the way, Jenkins has 24-8-3 on 9-15 shooting, 4-6 from downtown on the evening
Marillac checks box score, shocked to see a piston has taken 45 shots tonight (Cade) and it wasn’t Jenkins24 points and only 3 assists? Shooting too much![]()
I think he played something like four games for us before getting a season ending injury. He probably didn't want to go through that again. I love Rick, but it seems his players get hurt a lot.Still surprised Rick didn't pursue him after we whiffed on our other PG targets. Familiarity, good size, and athleticism to compete on defense, would know his role. But perhaps he wanted to continue being a main piece at Hofstra.
Didn’t want to start a new thread so posting this here. Very sad:
Further proof that NBA scouts and draft experts are not the end all be allI hope others feel similarly, but I get an immense amount of pride and joy of seeing Julian Champagnie being such a vital piece on the Spurs the last 2 years. Seeing Daniss doing it on the big stage...it really makes me so happy to see us produce guys who are competing on the highest level imaginable.
These guys wore St. John's across the chest, I hope we can send many more to the big leagues.
