Alabama (MSG), Sat., Nov. 8, 12 Noon, FS-1/ 1050 AM

Had a chance to chat with Preston (and hopefully I’ll be at the game behind the Bama bench area). Everyone other than Bethea should play — they were held out of the opener for precautionary reasons.

He thinks their biggest advantage will be getting to the 3-point line in transition. They’ve been working on hitting the trailing shooter from the top of the key if the initial shot isn’t available, then finding another option on the wing.

They really like their team but wish this game came a bit later in the season. They’re very concerned about Zuby and Dillion on the glass. They know this game plays into Ian and Joson’s slashing style, but don’t think that alone will beat them. The main worries are rebounding, Sellers’ impact when they have to drop down on Zuby, and fatigue.

They’re athletic, have some length, and can shoot — should be a really fun game. Overall, I think this matchup suits St. John’s style, and the talent level favors the home team.

Limited tickets? Does that mean that we are getting close to a sell out?

Not really. Lower bowl is slim pickings except behind the student section. Seems a few good seats were released if you want to pay $220+. back of most of the 200's is generally available along with a few front of section seats near midcourt that again must have been recently released. 300 sections that have been put on sale are generally available. Looks like some still held back.
