Alabama (MSG), Sat., Nov. 8, 12 Noon, FS-1/ 1050 AM

Pitino: “Last year, we lost to Arkansas, and when I watched the tape, they were longer and more athletic than we were. So I scheduled three SEC teams this year to get ready for that. The Big East does not have that, but they have teams that can beat all of that.” #sjubb

67.3% chance of victory as of now, per BPI.

We'll see if the Alabama injuries play into this going forward, though they are all expected to play, I believe.

Rick on radio referred to Sanon as most talented player on roster but also as “comes off the bench”, so looks like for now super 6th man his role.
Pitino is really going to great lengths to try to get Jackson to be a good and productive ballplayer without shaking his confidence. I am both impressed and surprised, I did not think Pitino had that gear in him (certainly not at this stage of the game). But WRT to your post it seems that he either knows or has calculated that it would be more damaging to Jackson to bring him off the bench than it is for Sanon. If that's the case then credit to Sanon for coachability, team-first mentality, and mental toughness.

I think his original intent was to play them both together as starters but once it became evident (quickly) that Jackson couldn't play the point there went that plan.

If anyone can get the most out of both of them, its Pitino.

It would be very dissapointing if we don't get to at least 17K. This is a game where a significant home court advantage could be the difference.
Extremely disappointing. We are top 5 this year and Alabama is now a premier basketball program. This would be a sellout for any other program with a top 5 national ranking. I hope I don't see patches of empty seats in the upper bowl on Saturday.

i hear this... and yes... as a rabid fan... it would be dissappointing... but its NYC and its November 8, the season JUST started.... takes a while to get the Wheels of Hype going for us....

Dont think Bama would be traveling heavy for a Saturday game when they Host LSU...

Also for all the nonsense about cancelling midnight madness to benefit the student experience, they should all be out there in droves.

That reminds me of the time in the late 90's when we were in the Tournament and my wife bought tickets for The Wiz when it opened on Broadway. I had an am transistor radio in my breast pocket and a headphone wire running down my sleeve so that I could just put my hand up to my ear to listen to the game. I got caught during the second act because I kept my hand on my ear for the entire show! 😜
Great story gregbodkin!

Against a lesser opponent, I would like to see Sanon play some point just to get him involved more and unlock some playmaking for the future. I know he's not close to a PG, but he needs to be way more aggressive.

He lets the forwards initiate the offense when he's our best scorer and the only guy that can get his own shot from deep.
