Rooting for Brady, American version of Imran sharpshooter.
They did not mention other future Johnnies on the team including Erick Barkley, Anthony Glover, Reggie Jesse, "Chud the Stud". I remember how we really wanted Brand to stay home.
No doubt how re-invigorated many of our former players are right now; Phil, D’Lo, Shawnelle, TY, Dwight, Mark J, Malik B & many others. Let’s recognize these guys in a consistent, meaningful way. Nova has a template for doing this effectively.
I believe that our NY Panthers team of 2001 would have given this Riverside team a great game. PG Darryl Hill, SG Taquan Dean, SF Curtis Sumpter, PF Charlie Villaneuva, and C Jason Fraser. On the bench were Tim Doyle, Marvin McCullough, and Aubin Scott. We won the three biggest tournaments of the summer, 3Stripes at Hofstra, Big Time in Las Vegas, and Double Pump in LA. Additionally, in a Showcase game at IS8, we defeated a Juice All Star team featuring Sebastian Telfair, Lebron James , Chris Taft, Elijah Clark ans a few others.
The reason this team does not get the recognition it should is because Charlie was the only one to make it to the league. It's a shame because knee and other injuries derailed the other four starters. They went on to play overseas but would have definitely made the league if they stayed healthy.
