SJU Portal Targets

Alright I say we stop posting allusions to “today being the day” Jackson commits. Like 3 days in a row of it not happening. Maybe Monday!
I know they try to space the commitments so everyone can have their day, but really respectful of Jackson as a former Catholic school kid to let Our Lord and Saviour have his moment in the sun today and hold off on the announcement

Also Friday afternoon is when you release news that you don't want to get any attention. If the announcement wasn't going to be yesterday there was no way it was going to be today.

Makes sense, but some X accounts strongly hinted at today being the day. I'm still thinking he'll announce on Monday/Tuesday, but until the school officially announces it I'm not getting my hopes up.

Does that still hold true in the social media era though?

That said, with Easter coming I think people shouldn't even think about him again until Monday.

No offense to Sellers, but this is way bigger news. Let the school get all their PR ducks in a row on this one.

Not from Trilly but staff apparently likes him. Not sure at PG, but could see backup 1/2 and some 3 (Personally doubt he would go for that but I don't know)

ESPN has him ranked as the 85th best transfer overall and one of the best PGs still available. In addition to winning MAC player of the year he also won MAC defensive player of the year.

Are we sure this couldn’t be our starting point guard next year on a loaded roster full of scorers? We certainly need a good defender at PG and he’s got pretty good size at 6-3.

At the risk of upsetting Mkras, Yes. Couldn’t me more sure. Akron had 4 kids average 2.4 assists or more. They had terrific ball movement. He’s 100% not that guy.

Could be a guy you stack with two other combos IMO.

Perhaps a Catholic university does not want to introduce shiny new transfers on Good Friday? Just a thought.
Could be the both the softball and baseball teams are playing today at Creighton.

Jackson also doesn’t need to wait for the school to announce. Sanon made his commitment known before the school did their press release as did Hopkins IIRC.

There has to be some under the radar guys who just know how to play a textbook PG.

Thinking what Kolek became coming from George Mason. Even his first year at Marquette. Just knew how to distribute.

If staff can evaluate talent and coach up, we don't need a $4M PG
