Yeah I know it sounds crazy but I don't want him at all.
Schools are going to start cutting Bobby Bonilla type contracts
Maybe Petino was pissed at him
Or just frustrated and worn out.

If we have to pay $4 million, I find it impossible to believe that we wouldn't just offer Fland that to exit draft and enter portal.

He would raise the ceiling but lots would have to go right for that ceiling to be met. He's definitely another guy that has implosion potential too. We need somebody to get the ball to Jackson, Sanon, Sellers, Bryce, Zuby etc. not one to take shots away from them.

Especially when the rumored price was a million less yesterday. Agents need to know when to be smart, and I'm not sure that is a smart price point.

3 schools in 3 years always a flag. Already may have too many chefs in the kitchen to begin with. Completely agree.

Basketball equivalent of a quarterback. It’s business. Pay for the PG. It’s a priceless position.
Get 6 stars, 3-4 for the bench and 4-5 J Cole’s. I remember from my St. John’s intramural days that we have ballers walking all through the hallways. That’s an advantage for us. We are NYCs team.
Coach Looie said he could recruit and get players by traveling through out the City using only subway tokens. Maybe rely on those HSers a little bit more to fill out the roster for practice and MSG warmups. And spend for the NEED.

Would you want to play for a coach you have a seething hatred for? Friendly PR statements aside, I think Luis really hates Pitino for benching him.
Portal window unfortunately doesn't give any time for cooler heads to prevail.
Agree we don't know what to believe but there may have been some mutual annoyment (made that word up) plus I don't think our coach was willing to wait until NBA process played out to fill that important a potential hole.
More likely St. John’s was never going to pay what he wanted.
Just my opinion…but mutual annoyment sounds about right…all interviews/comments that followed all seem to be more cordial than warm especially when juxtaposed against the mutual admiration comments over the past 2 years.
