Hopkins as a stretch 4 can knock down the 3 too.
“Going into my senior year, I wanted to play in the biggest market possible and just hearing Pitino’s plans for me going into the season, it kind of felt like a no-brainer,” Sellers said. “Obviously I’ve been on the west coast my whole life, so making that move was a big move for me, but it was something I trusted and was fully confident with.
“They had a big need for 3-point shooters, and just showing me their offense and plays they run are things I feel I would fit well into. They do a lot of ball screens as well. I feel like that’s something that can take my game to another level.”
“A veteran high level shooter,” a college coach familiar with Sellers told The Post. “Catch and shoot, he can put it on the floor, one or two bounces. Easy 40 [percent shooter from 3], especially with good players.”

Nice addition that, in conjunction with Sanon commitment, addresses a key chunk of Pitino’s goal of increasing perimeter shooting proficiency. Zuby will be happy with better options to kick out to from the post & avoid him being doubled so much. Well done staff!
