SJU Portal Targets

So how are the visits going? Did anybody sign yet? Have we seen white smoke from Marillac Hall? Or just smoke from Marillac?
The self driving uber hired by SJU,carrying three of “haul group”, inexplicably made a dash for a Manhattan lap dance joint. Matt is scrambling to intercept them. Some HC from Storr's fingerprints are all over this.

It's April 11, not April 1. Hoping this is a joke.

Posh had very quick hands and was a good defender when he wanted to be but also often failed to close out on three point shooters. Simon always got the assignment on other teams best player whether Howard from Marquette or Miles Powell. There was a reason he was voted Big East defensive player of the year by Big East coaches. Not saying Ponds wasn’t good defender but he wasn’t better than Justin which is why I referenced Scott being our best defender since Justin.
I say this as the person who touted Scott day one, having seen him play three games live in Charleston. And he was, as advertised, an excellent defender.

But he wasn’t even the best defensive player on the team, Zuby was. Zuby’s ability to switch and cover everyone as a five was incredible. Now, in fairness, Scott AND Kadary could also guard basically anyone at any time. But Zuby did it without fouling, which Scott struggled with. And fouling is bad for a bunch of reasons.

Love Scott, loved Simon, and if we don’t count teammates I agree with you completely.

Also, did anyone pop for SJU yet? Want to stay on topic!

On3's updates:
Ian Jackson: New Update: NC State is not expected to be involved moving forward, according to sources. It sounds like this is between USC and St. John’s. Jackson is on campus at USC today and will fly out to St. John’s on Saturday.

LeJuan Watts: Washington State transfer LeJuan Watts
LeJuan Watts is currently visiting Texas Tech. The 6-foot-6 sophomore from Washington State is also considering like UConn, St. John’s, Washington, and USC.

It sounds like the Red Raiders have the current momentum but several schools are still pushing.

Xaivian Lee: New Update: This looks to be shaping up to be a two-team race between Florida and St. John’s. The Johnnies will get him on campus first, but a visit to see the Gators will likely occur early next week.

As an early jumper onto the Aaron Scott bandwagon - Dillon Mitchell is better.

Edit to clarify - he's a better and more valuable defender and rebounder.

Last year's team needed the occasional offense that Scott provided. Next year's won't but will need what Mitchell brings. Very important potential add IMO
Agreed. If Scott would have hit the 3-pt near the 40% he did at North Texas, a different conversation. But his 29% made him a one dimensional player.
