Hopefully it motivates him. That is always the best learning from a mistake. He will either see it understand and be better for it. Or he can take it another way which. Is not as helpful as quickly as owning it right away.

Maybe it’s me. But I don’t think RJ did anything wrong other than miss a lot of shots.

Brutal press conference. Pitino really was nasty to RJ. Saying Zuby, Kadary and Scott were responsible for the successful season and purposely excluding RJ. The kid had a lousy game and definitely plays too much hero ball. But he seems to be a great kid and we wouldn’t have had half the season if it weren’t for him. In this day and age, it wouldn’t shock me if Luis portals.
He was doing his bull drives and not moving the ball. Getting beat off the dribble.
I do think he was fouled on some off his drives to the hoop.

Well this sucks. No one but Zuby had it today. Deivon did as much as he could. He had 3 turnovers that were crushers. The refs really left their fingerprints on this game. Our worst fear. Although i'm deeply disappointed, This season was one i'll remember forever. Was fortunate to go to almost every game at the garden and witness them cutting down the nets. There will always be questions after a crushing loss, but the reality is the program is in a great place. Hopefully recruits and potential transfers will be attracted to the inertia around the program and the city. Big thank you to Aaron Scott, Kooks, and Deivon (although it was 1 year for all, what a year!)

Agree. Rick’s post game presser was embarrassing - calling out 3 players as the reason the year was so good - not RJ. I think RJ loves Rick but I hope he does not leave now. Good kid.
1000%, he didn't adjust the entire game, hope he finally figures it out, it is his biggest flaw as a player. And totally fixable.

I heard Rick focus on Aaron, kadary and smith. Basically calling out the seniors.

I finally agree with Pitino on something. Kadary was responsible for a larger part of our success. Everything else is classic Pitino blame shift. RJ was on the best because of his lateral movement I guess.
The three players Pitino mentioned are all seniors but he stressed many times he was disappointed in the ball movement and you only had to watch the game to see who he was disappointed in.

Going to be honest. We basically have a salary cap now and it wouldn’t surprise me if Rick wanted the cap space to move the program forward.
hope RJ remembers half time talk about overcoming adversity. I hope RJ is tougher than letting one game performance crush his ego.

Was today’s Ricks best game no. However I don’t want hear from folks who never post on here shit on him today GTFOH. It was the teams worst game all year. Rick’s the reason we are here. RJ was John Starks today a lot of it I saw was mental and times he tried playing hero ball.
