ESPN has us a 3 seed in Midwest.
Houston the 1
Alabama the 2
That would be ridiculous

Ohio State the worst one probably.Does Kentucky have a bad lose?
Understandable. As a fan of CFB, not a fan of it.
As a die hard Cane fan, I loved every second of it, especially the way Georgia tuned them up...
Go Canes!
Usually around 9-10ish the times dropI was just asking our 114 crew and they weren't positive.
Selection Sunday once we find out where we play when do they announce what time we play ?
Much thanks !Usually around 9-10ish the times drop
In 5 days we will already know the answer.I know this hasn’t been mentioned but does anyone think the NCAA still has it out for Rick or it’s hey we can make money off of St.John’s . Just throwing that out there. I don’t put anything pass them.
Someone already said it here but being a 2 seed makes it basically impossible to be in NewarkI heard some speculation yesterday that even if Providence/Newark makes the most sense for our seed, there are so many SEC teams at the top lines that need to be spread out that we could sent elsewhere anyway.
This podcaster's argument was against wanting the 3 if you are a St. John's fan instead of 2 because SEC overload could bite you in ass and keep you from being close to home anyway. I personally think we'll be a 2 out west.Someone already said it here but being a 2 seed makes it basically impossible to be in Newark
Mocking it out:I heard some speculation yesterday that even if Providence/Newark makes the most sense for our seed, there are so many SEC teams at the top lines that need to be spread out that we could sent elsewhere anyway.
Depends on who you ask. I think all losses by more than 5 points are badDoes Kentucky have a bad lose?
I understand, and get, that many posters enjoy all the metrics available to analyze seedlings, teams selected at large, etc., when in reality the selection process really comes down to the constant reality; ie, $$$$.
But, other than as personal comic relief, I have no interest in all the “analytics” involved in subjective selection processes because their only purpose for existence is to allow for human manipulation of the selection process. Just my opinion.
Case in point, after beating St. Mary’s last night for the automatic bid, Mark Few lobbied for seeding in the post game by letting everyone know Gonzaga was 350th in “luck” on Kenpom and revealed they had had sn inordinate number of 3’s banked in against them this year.
So personally, nothing but the deepest admiration for the person able to scam someone to pay them to rank all the 350 or so D1 basketball teams in “luck” but I guess there’s a market somewhere, again proving PT Barnum’s genius.
I have been of the opinion the only way to make it objective is to have a tournament of all D1 teams. There would still be some subjectivity involved because there would be an “odd” number of teams so there would have to be byes involved in the first weekend but that’s all that would have to be added to the season. Hell, select the bye teams by lottery but at least it would be decided on the court for everyone. The subjectivity of college sports is something the powers that be are going to have to figure out. College football and hoops are now PRO sports.
Truth is I can't think of another professional league that "ranks" teams and uses analytical tools to seed teams, etc.
They must objectify the process....
I know what you are saying, but in a way we already have a tournament of all D1 teams, beginning with the conference tournaments. It is the only assured way of making the NCAAs.I have been of the opinion the only way to make it objective is to have a tournament of all D1 teams. Obviously impossible for football but I am largely not a football fan.
