Marillac is a huge fan. Kid barely plays but comes in ready every time. He’s rotating 2,3,4x on defense without missing a beat —which is unheard of for the lack of game time.

He’s a + Big East caliber defender that can switch on all 5 positions defensively. Crazy versatility. We just act like that’s normal now. He can stick a 3…enforces spacing when he’s in.

The drives and the pull-ups are where he gets in trouble now, because he doesn’t have the luxury of making and learning from mistakes over bigger minutes.

++ defensive potential if he gets the redshirt and stays two more years.

We aren’t a deep team but our 7th and 8th men can switch 4 positions at a high level.

Ayo will have a role next year especially if he Knocks down some 3s. Having him and Zuby back (among others hopefully) will be huge for the culture Rick is building.

Very happy for this young man. What he did last night was not easy. Hasn’t played much but his number was called and he was ready. Only confirmed his value to our program.

Definitely the kind of kid you love to have as a bench player. Solid and versatile defensively and can hit the open corner three aside from obviously being a coach's dream chemistry wise.
