Just bound to lose when you keep playing with fire. This team has unlimited potential BUT, they just have not embraced a 40 minute game. Never really cranked up the defense and made Nova uncomfortable, epitomized by their last 3. Sorry, I just don’t understand a player standing and watching rather than running to the only next place the pass can go. That play didn’t lose the game but it certainly could have won it. Just gave back one of the 2 big wins last week. On to Creighton……….

Now 4 losses by a total of 7 points. Not many teams can say they've been in every game they've played this year.

This also somewhat negates my fear of facing Creighton, when they are coming off a loss.

I’m beyond upset with this team right now. This was a golden opportunity to solidify our tournament resume, and instead, we go into Villanova and completely lay an egg. How many times are we going to watch this team fall flat in a big road game?

The offense was stagnant, the defense had breakdowns at the worst possible moments, and once again, we let a winnable game slip away. Where was the urgency? Where was the fight? Villanova is not a great team this year, but we made them look like world-beaters.

The bench was non-existent, the rotations were questionable, and we played like a team that expected to just show up and win. Rick Pitino is a Hall of Famer, but even he has to be furious with how sloppy and uninspired this team looked. We were in position to win this game, and we completely blew it.

This team needs to wake up fast. The Big East isn’t getting any easier, and performances like this will have us sweating on Selection Sunday instead of feeling confident. I don’t care how good we’ve looked at times this season—losses like this cannot happen if we want to be taken seriously.

Embarrassing.

Didn’t like the defense on the last possession. Kadary took a chance on a steal and left us scrambling the rest of the possession. We had the lead, would’ve like us to pressure but not that aggressively.

10 game winning streak snapped. We were overdue for a loss. Ranked teams have been dropping like flies. We are no exception
Completely agree. You can't win every game and we fought back several times but Nova needed this one and hit big shot after big shot - tip our hats and move on. Sim was 3-7 from three going into that shot I don't have a problem with him taking it, although would have preferred Scott as it would have been fitting for him to hit a game winning three tonight. On to Creighton

Take a deep breath. It wasn’t that bad.

Jeez, we’re 21-4. From your post, you’d think we were 13-12

Embarrassing? I agree. Your post certainly was that.

Vince played less than 5 minutes and was a team worst -7. At what point do we stop letting him cost us? We don’t have the offensive to overcome him letting every single team go on a run.
I didn’t see that part of the game, but that immediately jumped out to me on the box score. Wonder what the story was there?

Not to be a broken record but in addition to everything else, you’re not going to come back from double digits every game. This team will elevate up to the next level when it consistently plays 40 minutes.
Bingo!!!!!!!!! Exactly!!!!
