At this point in a tough away game I don’t have much faith in either Glover or Lefty. Lefty doesn’t have enough experience handling the Nova crowd and Glover (never saw a shot he didnt like) has not shown much of late. I think Pitino may move RJ to a guard spot and play Prey with Scott. Glover’s lack of playing time at Nova was most apparent.
After Ukon, me neither, savored it even though the screen cut out to local news, I dialed around to hear the mnetions on all the local newscasts.I have a very similar experience but I never get to sleep after these close games
Beat Nova and I'll be doing the same.
Nova isn't a great team so playing our depth should be a more forgiving situation than Marquette, Uconn, and Creighton -- especially in the first half.
Prey was good on Dixon the first game, so Pitino shouldn't be shy using him this time around. Let Ayo get 5 minutes around the media timeouts and Glover some first half usage.

A couple of things … First , UCONN’s win at Creighton was big for us . Now have 2 game lead in loss column over Blue Jays .
Both , Ashworth and Kalkenbrenner looked sub par . Illness ? Injury ?
McNeeley was other World last night . He was the difference scoring 36 or 37 . Karaban sub par again and Ball had a ok game .
Diarra didn’t play 2 nd half but , didn’t seem to hurt Huskies .
Must Win ?
Our focus now , must shift from winning the BE regular title , which could be likely., to winning as many as possible for NCAA seeding upgrade .
Equally , we now should also set as objective winning the BE Tournament and Championship .
Something we haven’t done in over 2 decades .
Win tonight at Nova and Sunday at MSG and we could have smooth sailing until the UCONN game in a few weeks .
Getting ahead of ourselves ? Nah , we are fans and can do that . It’s Pitino’s job to keep the team on 1 game at a time .
I’m even dreaming we get a NCAA 2 seed if we win out from here . I would hope for 1 seed but , the BE always gets back hand treatment from NCAA.,in favor of FB Schools .

1) both will play minutes tonight, especially prey. Whether we have a nice lead or not
2) I’m not sure where this narrative is coming from that we only play well in the second half? We were up at the half @Uconn. Down 1 vs Marquette. Blew out Georgetown in the first half recently. Had a lead at half @xavier. @seton hall. You name it. we’ve had some first half duds but it’s far from being every game?
We've won EVERY sort of way lol... also lost... Huge lead vs Baylor just to give it away in the 2nd

Prey has been really good on D. The problem is he provides nothing on offense.
1. I said meaningful. Have no doubt they will play. hopefully it's not just to get to the Media TO's.
2. SJU is 4th in the country in second half scoring margin. First half? 40th. That is a fairly large discrepancy for a team ranked 9th in the AP poll. This team in first halfs have gone down double digits numerous times. Kansas St., Providence, Georgetown, Xavier and UConn. They blew large, double digit first half leads against Baylor and Creighton. The second half is much different story.
I’ll take it, especially for a team so dependent on defending to win. The guy makes plays and often breaks opponents rhythm by staying in front of folks.

SJU Basketball success was also mentioned on WPIX (CH.5) 10:00 news last night. Included a brief RJ interview.
True for this year . He doesn’t get the Ball down low , so it’s hard to tell what he’s got offensively
I think Pitino tells him, play defense , grab a rebound if necessary , set some picks and then take a seat .
If Smith is out depending on foul trouble I would expect to see more of the bench in the first half and ride the starters more in the second half. Its hard to win without Smith as the 6th man especially after we lost Dunlap for the season. Give the team and Pitino a lot of credit for making adjustments to get it done without him.
