@Villanova, Wed., Feb. 12 , 6p, FS-1

So, here is how I see tomorrow night going. I tell my wife St. John's is probably going to lose because it is an away game in the Big East, just like I did before the Ukon game started.

Then I am going to be glued to the t.v., unlike my usual self, watching like a normal person, not cursing, not stomping around, not throwing things at the t.v. because I wasn't thinking we were going to win anyway.

In the end it will be a close game, but Rick Pitino will out coach his counterpart, again, as he has done many times. This Nova game especially with us being undermanned will be a gift to us from the inarguably "the actual best #*cking coach in college basketball."

My wife will tell me (again) , well, I see you were wrong about the outcome of the game.

I will tell her "Yes, dear", and go to sleep happy.

This is an absolute "must" game for Villanova. A loss would force them to win the BET in order to get to the dance. It would take a superhuman effort to beat them down there. I won't throw anything if we lost. On the other hand, we've come up with superhuman efforts this season...so this game might be fun to watch.
Nova isn't remotely getting to "the Dance". They would have to win the Big East tournament which is unlikely given their lack of depth.

Begs the question who do we root for on Tuesday? Uconn or Creighton. I think for metrics purposes need UConn to get another big win to get their rankings up and make the two wins over them more valuable. Also establishes a BE season champ buffer.
I don't care about metrics I am rooting for UConn. I want to get that regular season championship

I think my guy Mean Gene hacked my brain, I’m admittedly worried about Nova w Smith out. 👀
Like I said Paultzy, get Glover and Lefty some time. It’s not that you’re not trying to win but we can’t burn our five starters out or risk more injury to one of them. The conference championship is going to come down to the Creighton game on Sunday. We need Smith back for that game. If he’s not , then I think we have an issue.

Obviously whatever the staff is doing- rotation/subs… is working. But, But… I don’t any reason we can’t get glover/Lefty some mins the first 25 -30 mins of the game.

With Dev out… gonna be another Ironman performance from KR/Sim. Buy them some breaks subbing in before the 12/8/4 and then again at the 16 in the 2nd half.

I have a very similar experience but I never get to sleep after these close games 🤪
